todays activity was fun! We have to trust and help each other. We had to use our brain to solve the problem that how we can't spill the water and flip friend. We had only 5people in our team but we succeed.
Today's activity was a revelation of sorts about my group. I like the caution that my group takes with everything. However, the constant analysis and observation really causes paralysis in action, so nothing got done.
Even though we weren't able to accomplish the task, I think our group worked well together and we had fun doing it. We all worked together and had to trust each other, just like we do in climbing.
The first task was really simple for my group to accomplish, but the second one was harder. It required us to listen to everyone's ideas and suggestions, just like when we climb and have to be aware of what everyone in our group is thinking.
My group was not able to accomplish the task, but they did try to listen to everyone's ideas. The group communication was not working because we only tried 2 ideas and no one really wanted to do it. I was frustrated with the lack of effort.
That was prettttty impossible for our group to accomplish. and we even had the smallest person in the class. i think we listened to everyones ideas and tried to use them each time. the person flipping had to trust that everyone else wouldnt drop her like we have learned to do in climbing too.
I Didn't like this activity because I don't think it's possible for everyone in the group to accomplish. Some people are heavier and it makes it hard to lift them and flip them. My group was able to get one person flipped and we managed to not spill the water.
I think this was a fun activity to do with our groups, although it was frustrating at times. It really made us work together as a team and collaborate on ideas so as to figure out something that works. I especially liked when Jose fell and the water splashed all over his face.
the first task we accomplished and was easy.the second task however we didn't complete.we had a lot of good ideas and suggestions.it's like climbing because you need all your group members to contribute and have to trust all of them. catherine
the first task was really easy for our group, but it was more difficult to flip someone over with the water. our group seemed to work well and we had a lot of good ideas, we just needed to try it a few more times. this activity is like climbing because it requires everyone to be involved and we needed to come up with different ideas, like we do when we try to direct the climber up the wall.
Our group was pretty unsuccesful on Friday. I know for me it was hard to come up with a good idea so that was our first problem but once we had a plan it was hard to put into action. Our group was really patient with each other and even though we didnt do it we worked well together.
this activity was pretty fun but challenging at the same time. we had to do a lot of brain storming and a lot of trial and error in order to figure out something that worked but we completly failed anyways haha. but it was fun to watch what the other groups came up with. this activity related to climbing because we had to all work together in order to finish the task and it couldnt be completed if someone wasnt concentrating or contributing in some wayyyyyyyy
i think that that activity was very difficult. but i loved it!! it was such a challenge and we had to use everyone in our group to try and make it work. we were on the right track but fell short of time. i thought it was an awsome activity though! -michelle reyes
I have been teaching since 1995. I started teaching at Winston Campus Junior High in Palatine. In 2001 I began teaching at Fremd. I am an assistant golf and wrestling coach. I have also coached boys gymnastics and I was a sponsor for Powder Puff Football and Outdoor Adventure Club. I am the 4th child of 5, 3 older sisters and 1 younger brother. I am married and I have two great boys 2 1/2 year old and a 5 week old. Chase and Brody. I love it when I come home and chase yells out "DADDY" and has a big smile on his face and is coming to hug me.
