Rappeling Goals
Let us know what your goals for this final week of rappelling are? How many times you will rappel, how many times you will belay, as a group how many rappels a day are you going to try to do? Different styles of rappelling what will you do, upside down and recover, go all the way down upside down, jumping off the wall under control, going face forward? Last 3 days, have fun.

My group has been trying to get everyone to rappel at least once every week. So I think we're going to try to get at least 2-3 per person in this week. The average rappeling per day was 2 so I'm guessing we're gonna try to double that.
ReplyDeleteMy personal goal is to try go either upside down or face foward without freaking out because of my phobia of height. I'll definitely try to make my last week in this class the most fun of this semester.
My group has been having some trouble with getting the set up right and having people wanting to go down the wall, but this week I am committing myself to try to get everyone to rappel at least two or maybe three times.
ReplyDeleteMy personal goal is to try to go down upside down because this seems to be the next level of rappelling and I at least want to try before we finish rappelling.

i feel like my group could do better with having more people rappel a day.i feel like i should offer to go more this week considering it will be the last 3 days.i feel like it would be interesting to try to go upside down or face forward.i can't promise anything but we will see what happens.

I feel like my group works well together, everyone contributes and helps out a lot. I think we can improve on having more people rappel a day though.
ReplyDeleteI think i would like to try to rappel upside down or even face forward. It seems a little scary but I'm ready for a challenge.

i think my group has done well with getting set up quickly and getting lots of people rappelling. i hope to rappel and belay twice each this week. i already tried rappelling upside down, but i would like to try going all the way down upside down.

The only rapelling i've done so far was the normal one, so I would like to try different ones other than that, and I think it would be fun to rappel twice more. I think my group should get at least three people per day, and i'd like to belay twice.

My group had done a really good job setting up quickly and for the past couple days, we've had five people go, so I think six people would be a good goal. I've gone upside down and think it would be fun to try the other ways too.
ReplyDeleteI want to do as much as i can in these last three days. i want to try all the crazy ways going down and also take turns belaying. i also think my group can work faster so we can get everyone to go down.
ReplyDeleteI relly want to try and go up side down or back wards :O
ReplyDeleteand hopefully i can just as long as i dont chicken out at the last minute
and our group is trying to get everyone to go at least twice this week
our average so far is about 2-3 each day.
I'm getting alot more comfertable with going down! I don't think I'll be doing any special upside down rappelling anytime soon though. I deffinitly want to try to rappell more though!

i think my group is really getting good with setting everything up quickly and getting everyone to repel atleast once a day. I really want to try and repel upsidedown next time and maybe face forward.

my groups been doing really well and weve been able to get everyone to go in one day. next i think we have to get everyone to go upside down and then even face first. i wanna be able to go atleast twice both way. :)

i hope that i our group could all repel upside down and that we can get everyone in our repel group to go in a day!

My goal is to have everyone in my group go in one day! We're getting consistantly faster at setting up, so I think we'll be able to accomplish it! This is my last week in this period... (I'm switching into 6th period gym next semester.. ahh) so I hope to make the best out of this week! I would love to go face down :) sounds ilke fun!

Um... I'd like to get down there just one more time, and hopefully more successfully than the last two times. I'd just like to not die. ><;; Otherwise, I hope that everyone in my rappel group can go in one day. :D
ReplyDeleteI'd like to go down upside down sometime this week and know the set up like the back of my hand.

hey!!
ReplyDeleteOk the firs thing i want to say is that my group is one, if not, the fastest team in the class. This actually make me feel good, because we know we are doing the things in the correct order and as well with a lot of valcity. this week i want to try face-foward rappelling . I am scared but yeah , i'll try.
on average, i'd say that my group is able to bring down approximately 4 people a day, so i'd say were pretty good since we take time to make sure all the knots are tied correctly and that all the safety systems are in proper order.this last week of rapelling, my goals are (were) to go down front ways and try to let go of the bar much faster than i previously did.

omg i went face first climbing and i didn't do too well but i thought it was AWSOME!!!
ReplyDeletei was so proud that i actually had to the guts to do that. and i know it was becausse i really trusted my group!
